Zilla barely tried to fight back as his jaws were being pulled open. Instead he allowed the ape to do so, his head angled downwards towards Kong’s face, his spines crackling with green energy as he waited for just to right moment. When his jaws opened enough, a stream of green energy ripped from his mouth the flame erupting in Kong’s face

((All in due time Pyras, it was my intention to work the fight towards her in the first place. And...damn. In my weeks and weeks of wanting to do that, I stupidly never thought of the consequence of it...))
Kong roared in pain, stumbling back from the attack, his hands slapping to his face to ease the pain as well as put out the flame. After a moment of recouperation, Kong lept up to a building, and climbed to the top, bellowing a challenge at Zilla.

Zilla roared at his opponent for a moment. Following him up the building was suicide. The ape had the advantage and their combined weight may prove an issue. Rather than attempt to hit Kong he fired his breath weapon at the base of the building, the atomic flame carving through the steel supports. Walking around the building while his flame continued to eat through the building. Between Kong’s weight and the weakening foundation, the building would soon collapse and he’d finish him off once they were both firmly on the ground.

Kong thought quickly as the building began to fall. Using the combined force of the building pulling him down, as well as his own gravity, Kong lept off the side, slowly front flipping while hurtling towards Zilla. When he reached the other kaiju, he threw out his elbow, smashing Zilla on the head with amazing concussive force. The attack didn't spare Kong though, as the hit on Zilla spun him slightly, he still crushed the pavement and damaged his own spine.

Zilla roared in pain, his vision blurring from the blow. His head was abuzz as he fell to the ground. Several teeth fell from his maw while another was visible having penetrated his lower jaw. They would regenerate with time, but the blow had taken a great deal out of the creature.
Snorting he pulled himself to his feet, groggily trying to remain upright. Roaring in anger as blood trickled down his mouth, Zilla collapsed in a heap, the pain seemingly too much for him to withstand. Facefirst in the ground, he barely stirred.

There wasn'tm uch movement from Kong either, besides the rising and falling of his chest due to breathing. The attack had worked, and when Kong could bear the pain of standing again, he would finish the lizard. But for now, he had to rest.

Ann watched the events occur from a TV new station that was ballsy enough to be recording live. Inside the shelter, she sat next to hundreds of people who kept their eyes on the screen. THere was a collective sigh of relief, as it seemed like it was winding down.

Mathew Krugal frowned. Here he was, stuck giving orders to non-coms with a megaphone.....he should be out there tearing apart zilla with Abbadon, not stuck here.....but he had no choice, Paul had stripped him of his rank and his authorization to pilot Abbadon-01 indefinately. Sighing deeply, Mathew sat down next to Ann to watch the news report.

Zilla stayed flat on his stomach, but his eye opened wide, glowing slightly before narrowing. Digging his clawed toes into the street he pulled himself upright, his legs remaining bent at the knee. His leg muscles bulged, seemed almost spring loaded as he leapt, however this time he leapt backwards, his bladed dorsal spikes aimed for Kong.

Kong's eyes snapped open at the sound of movement, and he saw Zilla just in time to roll out of the way. The spines still caught his shoulder, tearing into it and spraying blood, but Kong's endorphins kicked in, minimizing the terrible pain in his spine as well as his shoulder. This gave him the strength to quickly get up, delivering a viscous backhand to Zilla's face while regaining his footing.

The backhand struck Zilla’s face, knocking his head into a building. As his head came off the building so did part of the wall. Deciding to switch tactics, he leapt through a building, dashing around buildings as he attempted to lead Kong to another area.

Kong growled with anger, leaping into the air, catching buildings, running, and leaping to more. He kept a close eye on the monster below him as he moved, ready for any change in tactics.
The shelter rumbled and shuddered as the monsters moved ever closer.

Peeling around a corner Zilla quickly backtracked, the almost U-turn taking him behind Kong’s current position. He used his breath weapon, aiming for Kong’s back as he attempted to dislodge the ape.
