That's a hard one... see, like alot of insects spiders breath through thier sides. So it hard for em to swim. Oh and two tons? That is kind of light.

Really? I figured since she was a spider she wouldn't be that heavy. I guess I should put her at 10 tons? I gotta warn you I suck at math. XD

as for swimming.....Schmidt industries captures her for their Project Doppleganger, loads her on a freighter to the main land, but she escapes? i dunno, maybe she creates a makeshift raft out of her webbing? just throwing out ideas, feel free to call them silly and/or fit for the mentally challenged only.((I.E. .....ah screw it, it'd be too easy))

There are aquatic spiders, you guys.
Since it's a giant super spider, I don't see a problem with it being able to "hold its breath", even if its respirators are on the side.
As for weight, it'll have to be alot heavier. This spider is huge.

There are aquatic spiders, you guys. And did you also know that every single one live underwater because of having an air bubble around thier ass? So they still breath air. She could move across water like one o' dem' water bugs. She would be WAY to heavy, those water bugs walk on the water because of how thier feet are built I think and because of how light they are.

Well, considering water has natural particles and ionization charges, you could give her a natural field which allows her to float a couple of feet off of the water. Extreme force though - being pushed under, falling from a great height - would still cause her to fall in.

I think I like Lord Vader's idea.
As for weight... 80K tons then?

No. I mean there are spiders that have gills. Of course they still breath water, I never said they didn't. Like aquatic mammals. This spider can, as I said, 'hold its breath', preventing drowning from its body being filled with water.
