Description:

Armor: A strong metal of extraterrestrial origin. This metal is referred to as Space Titanium though it's not at all similar to titanium.
Armaments:
1. Ten rail guns.
2. Sixteen Particle Beam Cannons.
3. Sixteen rapid fire laser turrets.
4. Twenty Four Torpedo Tubes which fire torpedoes for use in ship to ship combat.
5. Forty Eight anti aircraft missile launchers.
6. Reflex Cannon: The two booms at the front of the ship move apart and their is a massive energy buildup and discharge capable of destroying a large 1,000 meter ship or several smaller vessels. This weapon requires massive amounts of power and can only fire one shot per hour. [Finisher Only]
Equipment:
1. Reflex Shield: This can cover either the entire ship or can be converted into three moving disk shaped shields that can protect small parts of the ship from attack. If the shield overloads while covering the whole ship, their is a massive energy release that causes damage to the surrounding are in a similar manner to an atomic bomb. The ship is usually heavily damaged from such an occurrence but is not destroyed.

5. Reflex Furnace: Powers all onboard systems.
6. Gravity Control system: This system is composed of four pod like anti-gravity units and allow the Macross to fly in atmosphere over a planetary surface despite the intense weight of the ship.
Production History: In the late 2020's a spacecraft of alien origin dropped out of hyperspace and crashlanded on an uninhabited island off the Cuban Coast. Due to the political turmoil in Cuba during this time, an expedition to recover the craft was not sent until 2035. When the craft was reached, it was discovered that all onboard had died in the crash. The Cuban government, seeing an opportunity, reverse engineered and then rebuilt the craft, in some cases, totally replacing parts too badly damaged to be repaired. The ship was powered by a Reflex Engine, an exotic alien power system, powered by a substance called Protoculture which scientists are still studying. The ship was named Super dimensional Fortress One [SDF-1] and was entered into the Terran Armada as a Cuban contribution.
