Name and Designation: Devilfish
Type: Light air and sea attack unit
Purpose: Reconnaisance, fast aquatic and aerial attack
Dimensions:
HT: 4 Meters
Width: 3 Meters - 12 Meters with enlarged fins
Length: 15 Meters
WT: 6 Tons
Speed:
Mach 2 when airborne
Top speed of 150 knots in water
Description:
The Devilfish could be considered the highest point of evolution for one of nature's most efficient killers, the shark. The Devilfish is a massive shark with an extremely long tail similar to that of a thresher shark. It has three dorsel fins, with the central fin being far larger than the out two. A small ridge of sharp, spiny fins runs behind the central fin, all the way to the tail.
Protruding from the snout of the Devilfish is a set of two spiraling horns. Its mouth, like almost all sharks, is full of thousands of razor sharp teeth. What is most curious about the Devilfish is its forward fins. When a Devilfish has picked up enough speed, it may jump out of the water and increase the size of its already large fins. At this point, the fins become wings and allow the Devilfish to fly.
Armor:
The Devilfish carries nothing more than natural armor into battle. Like all sharks, its skin is incredibly thick, capable of protecting it against bullets. To the touch, the skin is very sharp and it is more than capable of cutting someone's hand right open.
Armaments:
-Incredibly strong bite, capable of crushing titanium.
-Dorsal fins, horns, and tail whip are surprisingly sharp and strong, capable of slicing or goring a hole in the hull of even a heavily armored ship.
-Capable of breathing out of water as well as in
-Can increase size of fins to act as wings, enabling flight.
-Extremely fast and manueverable in water
-Highly powerful eyes allow the Devilfish to see in various different spectrums of light, making it possible to see past certain illusions as well as see in the dark depths of the ocean.
-Can release a blast of plasma spheres. In every shot, over a dozen spheres are fired.
-Capable of changing skin color to blend in with surroundings.
-Like any shark, the Devilfish is highly sensitive to electric fields, allowing it to detect them from a great distance away.
Equipment: None
Production History:
Sharks were already present in the world by the time Angelenis was born as Angelena. However, during her conquest she discovered how much potential the early creatures had. And so, after researching the sharks for a while, Angelenis produced the first Devilfish.
During her first campaign, Devilfish were nothing more than more highly evolved sharks. They were faster, larger, and smarter than their natural cousins. It is presumed that when Angelenis fell, the Devilfish died off as well. However, it is possible to presume that during their time on earth, they helped speed up the evolution of sharks into what we now know them as today.
Now, Angelenis finds that her original Devilfish are underdeveloped, easily being overtaken by most natural sharks. Her answer to this is to only take another step forward, advancing the evolution of the species even more. Now, the Devilfish are more lethal than ever and ready to bring terror to the seas of the world.
