Description:
The Jagula Centurions stand on their longer pair of hind legs, which like all Jagula, are covered in sharp barbs. Their upper set of arms end in large, vice like clamps filled with razor sharp barbs. Their lower set of arms end in three fingered hands. They carry a set of wings hidden under their protective back shell as well as the stinger.
Armor:
Unlike other Jagula units, the exoskeleton of the Centurions is thick and strong. To add to their natural defense, the Centurions will wear light armor into battle to aid their protection.
Armaments:
-The Jagula Centurions are remarkably strong, capable of lifting many times their own weight.
-The clamps of the Centurions are unusually powerful, capable of sheering steel and armor. They also secrete a light poison which causes enemies to lose their coordination skills.
-The clamps are capable of releasing a light plasma based attack, firing off a fast moving orb. The rate of fire, however, could be better.
Equipment:
-The Jagula Centurions are never seen without their double-bladed staves. These pole weapons are bladed on either end and can release a fireball from either blade. The Centurions are skilled in melee combat with these weapons, making them fearsome foes.
Production History:
The Jagula Centurions are among a number of units within Angelenis' forces that she did not have in her first conquest. Their creation came about after the Dark Queen witnessed the awe and terror wrought by insect swarms in ancient times. That, as well as man's natural hatred and fear of insects spurred Angelenis to create these new additions.
The Jagula Centurions are the most sophisticated and intelligent unit. Though they command the other Jagula units, their deaths would not impede the others from their tasks. The Centurions are more protect the other units as well as to add general support to Angelenis' horde.
