Somewhere in the Atlantic
1:01 PM
Traci quickly sat up, gasping for breath like he'd just ran a mile.
"Where the...how the...?" He glanced around, no longer in the hot, sticky jungle but in a small room.
He frowned, struggling to remember. His memory was full of holes, large black spots seperating the events.
Okay, I was filming the ape, then a bunch of monsters showed up and fought...then... He frowned harder. "Damn. How did I get here," he wondered aloud.
As if on cue, the door opened and in walked a middle-age man, clad in white uniform and carrying a matching hat. He seemed startled to find Traci up.
"Captain Halliday?" Traci said, agast. "Then I'm back on the ship?"
Halliday nodded. "Yes, and You're lucky, too. You came running up just as we where preparing to leave, we thought you where dead. That storm was brutal and the island is in a terrible state. Not to worry tho, you're safely onboard and we're heading for home. You should rest up. I'll send something for you up from mess." The captain started to leave, then turned. "That's a strange necklace you have on."
Traci, who was busy pacing the room, glanced up. "Huh? Oh this!" He slipped the chain over his head and held the comma shaped jewel out. "I found it on the island. Kinda cool, huh?"
The captain starred for a moment, then nodded. "Well, then. Enjoy the trip."
Traci shrugged, placed the necklace back over his head, grabbed his bag off of the floor and began to rummage through it.
