Skull Island 4:22 PM
The underbrush rubmled and shook, as the sounds of roars drifted from the jungle. The giant, saurian foot of the Vastatasaurus hit the ground, as it bent low and leaned forward, roaring a challenge to the neormous black primate that stood before it. The primate took no hesitation in accepting the challenge with his own roar. Two bitter enemies, these creatures ancestor had raged war against each other ever since they first came in contact.
The Vastatasaur charged, throwingu p his head in a sudden headbutt that knocked the primate off his feet and sent him sliding backwards. The dinosaur came in for the attack again, aiming for the apes throat, but the ape threw up his back legs and caught the Vastatasaur, who now stood inches from hsi face, biting and snapping. The aoe grabbed it by the neck with it's left arm, and hammerfisted it in the head with the right, flipping the dinosaur over and sending it stumbling. The ape wasted no time in getting to its feet and leaping in the air, landinf atop the dinosaurs back, grabbing it's top and bottom jaws. The Vastatasaur shrieked and tried to shake the ape off, but to no avail. The ape began to pry it's jaws apart...

That night...
Kong sat atop his clifftop home, surveying his land. The fight with the Vastatasaur had not ended exactly how he had planned, it managed to writh free and flee back into the jungle. They were age old enemies, but Kong had let it go for once, there were far too many things on his mind. For one, the crushining lonliness of being the last of your kind was unbearable. Kong longed for companionship, he had been without it since his mother was killed when he was only a baby. He let out an audible sigh and layed down on the rocks, closing his eyes so that in his dreams at least, he wouldn't be alone.

Elsewhere that night....
Little did Kong know that that day, six pairs of eyes had been watching him, studying him from a safe distance. While the giant ape slept, the three creatures nmaed Gezora, Ganimes, and Kamoebas met on southern shore. In a trance they spoke to each other without making a sound, their minds were one. Gezora spoke first.
[glow=blue,2,300]He shall soon serve a great purpose. In the approaching time of crisis, he will be needed.[/glow]
Ganimes was next.
[glow=orange,2,300]I agree, but how will he be able to survive against the real terrors that will come? He has no weapons, only brute strength.[/glow]
Kamoebas then spoke.
[glow=green,2,300]He has all that he will need which is his strength, courage, and intellect. He also has heart and once he finds something to truly care about, he will be unstopable.[/glow]
In a solid voice they spoke.
[glow=Grey,2,300]It is agreed, the kaiju known as King Kong is one of the three kings, one of the three beings who will fight for this world and will save it from the swirling malestrom that approaches from the depthes of time and destiny. He will be monitored.[/glow] The three beasts then marched towards the water, scattering a pair of Foetodons feeding on a washed up whale carcass. With a quiet splash, they entered the cool waters of the sea.

Kong awoke in the early morning with no idea what had happened the night before out by the ocean. He slowly walked down the side of his mountain, stopping to eat some ripe bamboo from a secluded area. From here, he watched the valley below come to life; a herd of Brontosaurs stalked out onto the open plain to graze while unbeknownst to them, they wwere being stalked by a rather large pack of Venatasaurs. The roar of a vastatasaurus Rex echoed out from the jungle interior, and the last of the giant insects that ventured out in the dead of night could be seen crawling back into the crevices that led to the dark, hellish pits below.
The King of Skull Island watched the sunrise, and then slowly, once more made his way down to the interior of the island.

Some 50 yards behind Kong….
“Damn it!” Traci muttered to himself, dropping his camera from his eye. There goes my shot. From his vantage point atop of a tall tree, he had had a great shot of Kong looking out over the jungle with the sun rising in the distance and casting a gorgeous orange glow on the area. The King surveying his kingdom! Traci had thought, grinning and snapping dozens of pictures. Now the beast was moving again. Traci shouldered his backpack, secured his camera around his neck and carefully, quietly but quickly slide down the trunk of the tree and followed. The island was previously undiscovered. That is, until a Spanish cargo ship (ironically, hauling bananas) that had gotten lost in a violent storm nearly plowed into one the islands high stone cliffs. The crew of the vessel reported seeing ‘monstrous lizards’ and ‘strange insects’ when they went ashore and nearly everyone that ventured into the jungle was killed. Naturally, this aspect of an uncharted island story was dropped as ‘utter madness’ and only saw publication in tabloids. None-the-less, the United Nations ordered the island be mapped out and explored by an independent team of researchers. A small news team, that would include ace photographer Traci Farelane, was added at the last minute. He had arrived on the island three days ago, expecting to be photographing life-forms previously unknown to the civilized world for the ‘Science, Industry and Technology’ sections of the UWN newspaper and televised broadcasts…little did he know that he would be encountering more than simple leaves and bugs! After the first day, nearly the entire party retreated back to the boat, saying that, after nine deaths, they had ‘seen enough’. Traci remained behind, determined to photograph these beasts in their natural habitat…before the government swarmed over this haven for prehistoric life and put them on display in San Diego. It was yesterday when he first encountered Kong, during the battle against the Rex and Traci had gotten some amazing pictures of the dueling titans (and the remaining corpse). He’d been following the ape ever since. What does a giant gorilla do when it’s not fighting off dinosaurs? What does it eat? What are its mating habits? How often does it sleep? How did it get so large? How big is its territory? The world will want to know! Briefly crouching down in the dirt for a quick shot of the creatures huge footprints, Traci pursued...

Kong ended up at a giat lake in the center of the plains, where the herd of Brontosaurs had stopped for a drink. Kong himself sat on the opposite bank, watching the other creatures with mild intrest. He scratched his chest absentmindedly and scanned the horizon, seeing what other creatures were out and about. He could smell the Venatosaurs on the clearing, but instead of stalking the Brontosaurs, they seemed to be moving around them, and seemed to be headed behind Kong. Kong grunted and stood up, beating his chest and letting out a roar to let them know that if it was a fight they wanted, it was a fight they would get. But the pack moved past him on the treeline.

Sitting on a thick tree branch and peering out from the foliage, Traci was still snapping away with his camera. The sudden appearance of the new predators that circled around Kong had only fueled his excitement, his enthusiam overriding his better judgement. "Beautiful!" he muttered. "Perfect! These things don't stand a...wait, where are they going?" He squinted down at them curiously. "They're getting kinda close...oh, sweet sassy-milassy!" Quickly gathering his equipment and drawing his knife, Traci began to climb higher.

The Venatasaurs reached the tree and crowded around it, a few leaping high into the air and snapping at Traci's heels. One leaped up, and landed on the tree brach a few feet bbelow Traci, and it began to slowly climb the rest of the way up, and the rest of the pack growled and roared below.

"Ohshitohshitohshitohshitohshit!" Traci chanted, continuing his climb up and quickly running out of tree. He spared a glance back down at the Venatasaurs and had to make a very 'uncool' looking hop up to the next branch to avoid losing his foot! Then, it finally happened, he was at the top and out of places to run. Didn't think about this... he thought frantically looking around, then finally settling his sights on Kong. Well, its worth a shot... Traci cupped his hands over his mouth and shouted, "Hey! Uh...Gorilla! Hey, OVER HERE!"

The venatosaurs at the bottom of the tree all kept their heads focused on Traci, in case he should fall. The one climbing had almost reached him as he called out to Kong, and the noise only provoked it to move faster. Kong, thousands of yards away, heard nothing. The venatosaur was almost on Traci when a thunderous rumble made the tree itslef tremble, and the Venatosaur, who wasn't built built for climbing, shrieked as it plunged throught the foliage to it's death. The tree that was next to Traci's tree turned out not to be a tree at all, as it was the leg of the largest Vasatasaurus Rex on the island. It moved calmy out of the treeling, the Venatosaurs scrambling in it's wake. It was not concerned with them, as it had it's eye's set on the mighty primate. The Brontosaur herd on the other side of the lake began an uproarious chorus, and began to move away from the watering hole.
The vastatasaur stopped at the edge of the water, a short distance to the side of Kong. He bent down on his haunches and began to drink. Kong looked over at him and roared, a primal scream of anger and challenge. The Vastasaur looked up at him cooly.
"I should be the one roaring in anger, ape." The Vastatasaur spat.
Kong growled and took a defensive posture.
"You mortally wounded one of my own again." The Vastatasaur said.
"He was on my territory." Kong growled. His fists we're clenched, but he knew better than to attck....there could be more Vastatasaurs in the treeline, waiting for just such a move.
"I prefer to keep you alive, so that you live your depressing, lonely life, ape. But if you keep killing my kind, I will be forced to end your life as I did your parents. Remember; the title of 'Kong' was given to you by death. You did not earn it. You could not kill me."
Kong bared his teeth.
"We'll see about that, Brutus." Kong said, trhough bared teeth. Brutus let out a quick huff of air and then stood, heading back into the trees. Kong roared in fury again, and slammed a fist deep into the spongey earth, pulling it out and grabbing a huge boulder. HE swung it around once and through it into the trees roaring the entire time.

At the shore of Skull island as all this was going on, the water began to swell and boil. Slowly, almost majesticly, Daemon stuck his head and shoulders out of the water and stared at the Island, blowing seawater from his nostrils. He heard the roar, and with ears perked and curiosity on his mind, he strode from the ocean and on to the land towards the sound of the roar.

Traci was nearly knocked out of the tree after the venatosaur but managed to grab onto a low hanging vine and swing himself onto a nearby branch. Traci's fear of the smaller predators was instantly forgotten at the sight of this new large animal and he immediately dropped to his knees and removed his camera from around his neck, stuffed it into his pack and produced a video camera. Checking that there was a tape inside the machine, Traci raised it to his eye, pulled back the obstructing brush and recorded the magnificent creature as it lumbered its way to the watering hole. Traci, despite his excitement, couldn't help but frown. Damn...its too far away...and this ANGLE! Without sparing a second thought, he clicked the camera off, slung it and his backpack over one shoulder and quickly shimmied down the tree and made his way after the dinosaur; tho he did pause momentarily, pondering whether he should get a quick shot of the dead venatosaurus that was lying in the dirt at the base of the tree with its neck bent at an odd angle before finally deciding against it. I've got bigger fish to fry.

Kong sighed after his enraged fit, and sat back down by the lakeshore.
Brutus continued walking into the trees, his massive foot coming down just a few feet from Traci, almost crushing him.

Traci was filming the Vestatasaurus as it retreated and had to dive sideways to avoid being trampled under its massive feet. He did however get a great shot of the underside of its foot. He watched it retreat into the treeline and out of sight before returning camera focus back to Kong. He crouched down low in the tall grass and, not taking his eye away from the lense, unzipped his pack. His watch beeped just as he was taking the granola bar out and he sighed heavily. AZT break... he grumbled and lowered the recorder.

Aberration flew in high and circled the island spying on the monsters. He came up with a plan; he knew he could not get all their genetic material by fighting he might be able to take one but not more then that even one at a time he would be worn down. He sent Daemon a vision:
Kong is destroying a city; smashing buildings raining ruble and glass on the fleeing citizens. A large group of people had just escaped from a crumbling building Kong brought his hand down on them crushing them like bugs. Then from a human's view: a mother was running with her daughter in her arms she fell and broke her leg. She begged for the little girl to leave her but she wouldn't just then a rain of glass shards from a broken window cut them to ribbons.
Daemon then knew the exact spot on the island where Kong was.
Aberration floated up high to watch his plan unfold.
