Although his father, the head of Tachibana Enterprises, was infuriated that the military would consider his son a "mutant," Akira was pleased to be recognized for his potential.
After years of training, Akira recieved a call from his father. Their latest weapon, the CK-101 anti-Kaiju mecha required a psychically empathic pilot to opperate. Akira accepted his father's offer, and entered the test piloting phase of Kiryuu's creation. In the sentient machine he found both a friend and a valuable allie. He looks forward to his first battle against the beasts that threaten mankind.
