Name: Angelenis
Species: Dark Entity
Stats:
HT: 100 Meters
WT: 60,000
Wingspan: 200 Meters
Landspeed: 600 KPH
Air Speed: Mach 3.5
Swim Speed: 60 Knots
Description:
Angelenis looks to be a beautiful woman with shimmering blonde hair and extremely pallid skin. Dark circles rest under her eyes and a set of vampirical fangs reside in her mouth behind a pair of dark crimson lips. From her back she has a pair of large, black, feathered wings as well as four large tentacles which end in bladed claws.
She looks to wear an odd dress of sorts that is a midnight red and black. Though flowing and actually quite beautiful, it is designed to allow her to fight with great ease and manueverability while offering splendid defense. Additionally, from her wrist to her elbow on either of her arms are a set of blades which are actually built into her body. She is never seen with her sword, which bears a strong resemblence to a kitana, though it has a somewhat shorter handle and is double-bladed. Last, but certainly not least, a beautiful necklace with a large emerald resides around her neck.
Combat Style:
Angelenis is a calculating and primarily strategy based foe. She will quickly try to acquire whatever knowledge she can before viciously committing herself to battle. Once committed, she knows no bounds nor any notions of restraint, holding absolutely nothing back.
Qualities:
-Angelenis is completely immune to dark or evil based energies and will even draw strength from them.
-Angelenis holds extremely powerful telepathic powers. She is capable of mind control on weaker being such as humans, Psychic communication, creating illusions and the ability to see events as they unfold with her mind as well as other such mind powers.
-Angelenis is a master warrior in near every sense of the word. She is near never impulsive and is a highly intelligent creature, being human. Her martial art and swordplay skills are near unmatchable, making her a lethal physical combatant. In terms of military strategies, Angelenis is certainly one to be respected and feared as her armies were once the optimal source of fear before their fall.
-Angelenis' tentacles display the curious ability of not being organic, or at least not appearing that way. They are made from a form of living metal, with rather impressive defensive capabilities. Mure curious than this, however, is the fact that Angelenis can take the tentacles apart as she pleases and displace some form of Psychic hold on them. She can project these curious appendages at a foe and actually control them when they are apart from her body. Just as easily as they break off and apart, they are able to reform at her beckoning call.
-Using either her vampirical fangs or her bladed tentacle tips, Angelenis can absorb the very life force out of another being. One a healthy, fully functioning creature this is a very slow and near useless prospect. On a dying, mortally wounded foe however, this comes as an easy boost of energy. On humans, however, Angelenis can suck the soul directly out of them even when fully healthy. Her tentacles do not need to physically touch the victim in order to absorb their life force. It is believed that this ability is what allows Angelenis to survive without oxygen or other such metabolic processes.
-Angelenis' dress is actually part of her, like a secondary layer of skin. It is thick and durable, giving excellent defensive capabilities, while being lightweight and flexible, allowing her great maneuverability and litheness. Her own human skin, while appearing weak, is actually extremely robust and durable.
Weakness:
Angelenis' weakness is that of her emerald necklace. Should the necklace be taken from her and then completely destroyed, her power will diminish considerably. Doing so, however, is very difficult and will on provoke her into a more vicious assault.
Special Attacks:
-Dark Orbs: Released from her hands and tentacles, they orbs of dark energy explode on contact, bathing the opponent in unholy fire. The longer they are charged, the more powerful they become.
-Memories' Pain: Fired from her tentacles, these beams do not pack all that great of a punch. They compensate, however, by the fact that they cause the area struck to become extremely irritated and sting a tremendous deal. Prolonged bombardment of this beam to a specific area can go so far as temporarily paralyzing it for a short period of time, or just make it excruciatingly painful to move the appendage.
-Sword Beam: Fired from the tip of Angelenis' sword, this beam is extremely focused. While the beam has an extremely small blast radius - roughly the size of the beam which itself is small - the beam is so focused that will easily knock even the largest of monster down to the ground. It has been known to occassionally blow out the back of a monster while not necessarily killing it.
-Growing Hatred: Angelenis surrounds herself in a dark sphere of energy. Angelenis can control the size of the sphere to her liking, spreading it as far as a mile radius. However, when the shield is this large it is far weaker. Offensively, the sphere is capable of knocking back foes, charging them with dark energies. Defensively, the shield can absorb energize projectile weaponry.
-Dark Flame: Angelenis charges energy into her sword, wrist blades, and tentacles, increasing their cutting power. When powered into the tentacles in an solid, intact state, the tips and the entire tentaclewill display this ability. However, when the tentacles are broken, all shards are blessed with the dark flames.
-Skeletal Spire: Angelenis can raise spires and other structures from the ground using this ability. The Skeletal Spires - called that because it is not uncommon for them to contain a great deal of bone in them from the many corpses lying in the ground - are extremely durable and capabled of withstanding tremendous duress. Given sufficient time, Angelenis can create an entire fortress with this ability.
-Dark Master: Angelenis is capable of creating and controling various creatures which she uses as her army. Though her original creations in her first campaign were at monsterous proportions, her ability to make creatures of that size has left her. She has been forced to settle with smaller, man sized creatures. (Stats for these will be put in Weapons and Tech, should she be approved.)
-Dark Rage: Angelenis is consumed in a prism of dark flames and emerges in a more powerful form for a short period of time. Her attacks gain only a minimal increase in strength, as does her physical strength. Her optimal benefit from the rage is the fact that her sword transforms. It grows to a massive size, roughly equal in height to herself and about half as wide. Despite the swords great bulk, she can still weild it with ease.
Origin/History:
Long ago, in an age that time has seemingly forgotten, in a time before recorded history, there lived a young girl by the name of Angelena in a sprawling city. The city was a large and prosperous center, home to a powerful army. It was a dark city however, they regularly worshipped Satan and held cruel and vicious rituals in his honor.
There came a point where the acts of this Dark City could no longer be tolerated, as it had upset the balance of power and disturbed the sacred silence. In response, the Great Guardian was sent to annihilate the city and its inhabitants. The evil deeds of the city could not go on.
And so the Great Guardian assaulted the city with a great rage, destroying everything within his sight. The entire military of the Dark City was called out to attempt to hold back the Guardian. Among the ranks of the army was Angelena's love, her betrothed.
Not even the likes of the army were capable of holding back the Great Guardian however. Their ranks were shattered as he released his rage upon them, condemning their wickedness to the fires of Hell. Angelena could not help but marvel as she watched the Great Guardian systematically destroy every thing that moved before it. She hungered for that power...
Yet Angelena's marvel was suddenly shattered as she was her beloved climb to the top of a great tower and leap off, landing on the Guardian's head. She screamed out in despair as he was killed right before her eyes, the flesh and blood stripped from the bone and ground into the dust. The Great Guardian paid no heed to the death of the man and continued his destruction. Angelena however, paid a great deal of heed to it.
Running into her home, she took down the family sword from the mantle and ran out to meet the Great Guardian. Yet just as she exited her home, it was consumed in flames and collapsed. The last remnants of the cities collapsed and Angelena could do nothing more than laugh with dread and delight when her flaming home collapsed upon her...
Several days later, Angelena awoke to the smell of smoldering rubble. Had she died? It certainly seemed so. If she did, then how was she alive now? It mattered not to her, for it gave her a second chance, a rare thing to come by in this world. Gathering up her few possessions, including the family sword, Angelena set out to make her own destiny.
For over a decade, Angelena roamed the world. She learned every method of swordplay and martial art she could find. Her masters were amazed to find how quickly she learned. Was it a natural aptitude, a gift since birth, or was it being fueled by her desire for revenge against the Great Guardian? It mattered not, as she learned regardless and in a rather short time became an extremely feared assassin.
As an assassin, Angelena passed from one army to the next, learning military strategy and honing her skills. She was once rumored to have slayed an army of six hundred troops solely by herself. Yet despite all of the deaths she caused, she could not bring about the Great Guardian to face her.
Angelena had grown suicidal, in a sense. The reason for her sins, other than her personal enjoyment out of them, was that she hoped to bring out the Great Guardian who would remove her evilness just as he did to her city. Yet he never showed. Even with the number of deaths reaching into the thousands, the Guardian never once appeared.
It was not until late one night did Angelena realize why she had not been able to garner the attention of the Great Guardian. News spread quickly through the army she had been traveling with the Guardian had dispatched a demonic beast that had been terrorizing a nation not too far from where they camped. Suddenly Angelena knew why. A single human could not possibly bring about the evil and destruction as a mighty beast. That had to change...
And so, Angelena traveled to a remote corner of the globe. She had heard the stories of a witchdoctor that had a potion capable of transforming a human into a horrible monster. Angelena had to have it. Arriving late one night during a bitter storm, Angelena entered the witchdoctor's tent and quickly purchased a vial of the potion. She then promptly killed the witchdoctor and drank the remaining vials.
Angelena was thrown into a fit of convulsions, left quivering on the floor. Flames engulfed her and the tent as she began to transform. The local inhabitants nervously congregated around the burning tent. Rising from the smoldering canvas came a transformed Angelena, bearing wings and tentacles. Viciously, she attacked the village and absorbed the soul of every inhabitant.
Angelena quickly spread throughout the land, absorbing the souls of whoever she could find. She would pray on infant children while they slept at night, young men and women left unattended in beds by their own, and entire families. Many a legend arose because of her acts and Angelena grew in size. Once she had reached a towering stature of one hundred meters, she stopped growing. Now, she had business to attend to.
Angelena quickly returned to the ruins of her home. Their, she placed her sword within the altar of the holiest of temples, absorbing the cities dark energies. Angelena was transformed and granted dark powers, powers used to bring a new, unknown evil to man. Angelena was gone forever, replaced by the darkness of Angelenis.
Angelenis quickly began to raise an army of creatures that were neither man nor angel. Dark, hideous creatures that feasted upon whatever they could. When her army was complete, reaching a massive number, they marched upon the world.
The power of the Dark Army, combined with that of Angelenis was an undefeatable combination. Entire nations rode out to meet the Dark Army, until to be annhilated and conquered. Nations and monsters alike were given a choice, join or die. Some willingly joined with Angelenis, embracing her dark and evil ways. Other resisted, and because of that, died.
It was not long until Angelenis held the entire world under her control. Not a single nation nor tribe nor empire was free of her power and she held dominion over all. This was not too last though...
A resistance rose up. Those monsters who rejected her ways and managed to hide from her banded together, joined by the rebelling nations. Led by the Great Guardian himself, this Alliance of Light marched upon Angelenis' forces to meet with the Dark Queen and her horde. The Battle for Earth had begun.
The fighting was vicious and horrible. Millions upon millions died on either side. From atop her mighty fortress, Angelenis watched the battle, sending down commands to her troops. Suddenly, however, she was challenged by none other than the Great Guardian himself. She had done it.
However, Angelenis' suicidal intentions were long gone. She now longed to slay the Great Guardian in revenge for her beloved and her home. In addition, she would absorb his powers; for inside the Great Guardian lay the key to the power necessary to control the universe and become mightier than God himself.
Angelenis and Guardian entered into a vicious battle atop her fortress as Dark Army and the Alliance of Light clashed below them. Little did Angelenis know that slowly but surely, her forces were being overtaken. Little did the Alliance know, however, that the Guardian seemed to be on the losing end of the battle.
However, Light had been destined to triumph over Dark. Just when all seemed lost for the Great Guardian, he summoned a mighty power to strike the tower that he and Angelenis fought upon. The top quarter of the tower broke beneath Angelenis, slowly begining to tumble down. Heavy rocks slammed against Angelenis as she fell from the very top of her fortress to the ground below. The battle grew still as she hit the ground, followed seconds later by the entire top portion of her fortress.
With Angelenis seemingly dead, her army could not fight on. Warriors and weapons alike melted down to a hideous tar before drying into dust and being swept away by the breeze. The mighty fortress was reduced to nothing and the very ground swallowed Angelenis up. The battle was won, Light had prevailed. Needless to say, celebrations were long and jubilant.
However, Angelenis did not die. While her corporal form lay buried beneath the ground, her spiritual form descended to Hell itself. She was able to cross the boundary between reality and death without hinderance, slowly healing her body. This is where she rests now, nearing her return to health. Soon, Angelenis will rise. What horrors will she unleash this time?
Oh, and for the reader that wonders as to why the world does not know of Angelenis' existance, the answer is quite simple. The Great Guardian, in his infinite wisdom, destroyed every manuscript containing details of the battle. Those monsters that survived the battle eventually died. The reason for Guardian's actions are simple. There are some things, he gathers, better left forgotten, lest they rise and bring new horrors to the world.
