Description: A mutated spinosaurus, simply put. Vastatospinus is a heavily muscled beast, her legs thicker and more powerful, her chest more barrel and her arms more spread apart than her ancestors, allowing her greater support of her weight and more agility. Her skin is composed of rough, spikey scales, similar to those of a crocodile. Heavy plates of armor protect her neck and legs and the spines of her dorsal fin are modified into sharp spiked weapons. Slightly thicker spines run down her neck. The dinosaur's hands and feet are quite large, spreading her weight out accross the wet ground that serves as her home territory.

Combat Style: Vassy is a predator. Rarely does she venture too far from water, she excells in dragging prey into the water where she has the advantage. If this is not possible, she resorts to hit and run tactics. However, if forced, the amphibious monster will simply attempt to overwhelm her foes with a furious barrage of melee strikes.
Qualities:
Amphibious: Vastatospinus is built for hunting in the water and can easily adjust to an aquatic environment. She can hold her breath indefinitely and aquatic combat is not overshadowed by the need to surface. It is believed that the theropod's lungs are actually adapted to breath water.
Brawling: Few creatures can match the dinosaur in close combat. Being highly agile and extremely durable, Vastatospinus is further agmented by incredibly strong limbs and a nearly inescapable bite.
Origin/History: Sometimes evolution spawns mutations far more severe than those that man creates. One of the spinosaurs that dominates the swamps of skull island, a single abberant mutation was spawned:A spinosaurus of a new breed. This creature was even more terrible than the mighty sailbacked monsters that parented it.Nature chosing a female embryo for its new experiment in genes, the armored skin that protected the mighty spinosaurs from enemies such as crocodiles was magnified, now an incredibly thick plate, almost chitinous along the neck. Large feet spread out the weight as the monster grew. Being the superior hunter, the theropod quickly dominated the marsh and began to set out for larger prey on the island...
