WT: 24,000 tons
Wingspan: 160 meters
Landspeed: 200 kph

Description:
Combat Style: Megaguirus is a savage fighter, prefering hit and run tactics. She is rather reluctant to expend the energy she gains through her sting and would much rather use he rimpressively armed body in combat. Megaguirus is crafty, hiding among her environment and using it to her best advantage. She learns from her mistakes and tends to change her combat strategy frequently. Against terrestrial foes, Megaguirus is initially playful, allowing them to feel the frustration of being unable to hit her. Should they prove more nimble than she realizes however, the queen will quickly get serious.
Megaguirus is a clever opponent and should never be underestimated in terms of intelligence.
Qualities:
Supersonic flight: Megaguirus is able to fly with ungodly dexterity, allowing her to effortlessly evade blows
EMP: The sheer frequency at which Megaguirus vibrates her wings disrupts electrical frequencies, shutting down electronic devices.
Special Attacks:
Sonic booms: So great is her coordination in flight, Megaguirus can control when her sheer speed does and doesn't generate concussive blasts in her wake.
Vampiric stinger: Megaguirus's tail stinger allows her to leech the blood from organic foes. The captured blood nourishes Megaguirus with energy contained in the mitochondria which she can expell from her body in explosive blasts if so needed (The energy, not the mitochondria).
Close combat: Megaguirus can employ her grasping pincers, jaggedly fanged maw and slashing wings to deadly effect up close.
Origin/History: For millions of years, the Meganura species ruled the cretaceous lands. Each one over ten feet in length, the bugs would nest in one spot, create a monstrous queen and send her out to conquer new land. The insect queen, created in the image of the blood that nourished her, the beast was beyond the concept of an ordinary insect. Megaguirus, the queen of killers. It was only during the massive cataclysmic events that killed off the dinosaurs, was the species silenced. Yet this was not all that would be heard of them.
The arthropods were quick to adapt, burrowning their eggs deep into the earth to wait out to a time when they could rise again.
Cut forward millions of years, humanity's need for transportation awakened an ancient horror. An egg representing the entire colony was unearthed during construction of a subway tunnel in new york. Unsure of what it was, one of the workers took the egg with him back to the surface. However, before he could learn anything about the creature inside, he lost his nerve as it began to ooze, the water it held inside it for so long lost once the sun hit it. Seeking to rid himself of the nightmare spawn, he hurled the egg into the nearby harbor.
Now submerged, the facets began to break off and before too long, they hatched. Strange creatures began to haunt the streets of NY, devouring those they came accross. Within days, the insects took wing and set off to fulfill their purpose: to nourish the slumbering behemoth that remained submerged in the New York waters.
The Meganura, as the species was dubbed by modern science, did not have to search long. Their species recognized the scent of dinosaur blood and it took little time for them to locate the only available source. A good distance away, blood samples from the monster king himself were held in a facility for study. It was the hope that these samples would provide a clue as to how to put an end to the leviathan. However the meganura reacted to it before anything could come of it and the insects invaded the lab, tearing it apart in their search for food. Despite its odd container, the blood was located by the insects and the piercing stingers drew enough to suffice and they dove into the blue where their champion lay dormant. As the mutated blood was pumped into the mammoth queen, the drones began to perish, their purpose fullfilled. The colossal shell cracked open and a monstrous beast arose.
Megaguirus, a killer from a bygone era, her visage and jagged dorsal protrusions mirroring those found on Godzilla, whose blood fed her, had risen. With a reverberating, almost mechanical screech, Megaguirus informed the entire city that her kind had risen anew and that the modern era now belonged to them.
