Description: A large dinosaur-like creature, Zilla is covered in layers of charcoal gray-green scales. Rows of large, blue colored dorsal fins run down its back and long tail. Large tightly packed muscles bulge beneath its streamlined body. Razor sharp teeth line its massive maw.
Combat Style: While Zilla relies heavily on his superior speed for battles he isn’t afraid to get up close and personal with an enemy to rend them with tooth and claw. Although preferring to attack, gain ground, then attack close again he is no stranger to batting foes at a distance, using his breath weapon for ranged attacks.
Qualities: Scale Armor- capable of providing good protection from heavy physical attacks and decent protection from low level energy attacks. It also prevents him from being drastically affected by climate changes.
Speed- Zilla’s speed allows him to not only attack swiftly, but also retreat if need be. He is incredibly fast on the ground and can easily maneuver in aquatic conditions
Burrowing- his powerful claws are capable of allowing him to burrow through most terrain
Crystal Skeleton- Zilla’s skeletal system is unique in that his bones are hollow, but thin bone struts crisscross inside creating a studwork. The bones themselves have high calcium and phosphorous levels making them almost like crystal. The combined effect is a strong bone structure that remains incredibly light allowing him to be agile and a powerful jumper
Susceptible to Toxins- Poisons and other toxins affect Zilla more than most kaiju
Special Attacks: Atomic Flame- A green-white atomic flame that spews forth from the mouth, causing his spines to crackle with energy
Atomic Sphere- More powerful than his regular breath weapon, this sphere of atomic flame glows white hot and is known to leave lingering levels of radiation
Origin/History: Eons ago an intergalactic war between a super advanced alien race and an extremely powerful space monster left many planets barren wastelands. Expert bioengineers the aliens were tasked with creating the ultimate weapon against the monster. Taking genetic samples from a creature found on Earth they created a genetically engineered dragon, powerful enough to battle the monster. Unfortunately they were almost all wiped out and left unable to deploy their creation, leaving it in stasis on planet Earth where it was lost to the ages.
In the year 2054 the combination of advanced weapons testing and increased mining expeditions have awakened the creature who automatically resumed its task of destroying threats to the planet and seeking out its enemy. While it protects Earth and sees the entire planet as its nest, it often comes into conflict with mankind and is the subject of much debate amongst the governments of the world. Since it shares a strong resemblance to a creature responsible for attacking damaging New York City in the late 90’s it has been given the name Zilla by the media. Unlike the mutated lizard though it is highly aggressive, very intelligent, and difficult to kill, causing it to gain a large fan following in some parts of the world. He is mistakenly identified as Godzilla on occasion, but is considered to be America’s equivalent of the King of the Monsters.
