No, he does have a point. GINO showed no external wounds until the jet's hit him. I noticed a wound, I mean Im watching it now and he looks kinda ripped up.

If you pay close attention, he definitely has several wounds on his side. He also doesn't seem to look as physically strong as he did in the beginning. There's also the minor fact that he struggled to catch the taxi cab, yet had no difficulty outrunning and catching three Apache helicopters.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I love the creature design but can’t stand the movie. Zilla (or GINO if you wish) is incredibly weak and his power can’t be accurately assessed due to lousy movie making.
Now, a little off topic but I’m wondering something. I loved the Godzilla cartoon that spawned from the movie, the one continuing with GINO’s offspring. I remember him taking damage from monsters relatively well, but what about missiles or torpedoes? It has been a long time since I’ve seen it, but I don’t remember him ever actually being hit by them.

I really can't remember to be honest. That was a good show, though some of its monsters were a little...eh. The only time I can possible even recall when it might have been struck by missiles was when it fought that Cyber-Zilla. If I remember correctly, it had missile launchers installed in the two main spikes on its back.

I'm going to have to look into that now, I have "Monster Wars" On DVD.
Also, found this funny: "...in Godzilla: Final Wars was a reference to the TriStar Godzilla Movie. When Godzilla defeated Zilla, the Controller of Planet X says the line "I knew that tuna-eating monster was useless." This is a reference to all the fish that Zilla ate in the TriStar movie. The fish that Zilla ate were, in fact, Tuna."

I'd have to agree that the torpedoes likely took some of the fight out of him. He may have some advanced healing factor, but I'd say it's closer to Showa Gamera's in speed, mabe a little slower.
