Since I've asked numerous people who say either the first or second answer, I'm just curious what all of you think.

In my honest opinion, the airplanes killed him and he died before he fell. In the movie, his eyes rolled back and his grip loosened, and that's what caused him to fall off the building. Also, nn the shot of him falling, he isn't waving around at all, which I think any living thing would do falling from that great a height.

I'd say it was the bullets judging by the way he slid off the building. I have to say though that his death was alot less graphic than the 1970's incarnation of Kong. He was covered in blood before he fell.

For me, it's hard to say. I know that in the original he looked to loose his balance from being shot up and thus died from the fall. The '76 remake he obviously died from the fall, as he was still alive after he fell and he did make a final cry during his fall. The new one is a bit tougher. Yeah, he slid off and didn't flail, but he was already exhausted by that point. He really could've been just too weak to hold himself up anymore.

None of the above. He was still alive for several future Kong movies.

Bullets probably put him into a near-death state, which loosened his grip, which caused him to fall. He than died while falling.

Godzilla vs. King Kong, and about a dozen I can't remember the names too. There was this one where he met a female Kong, I think it was the Return of Kong or something.

King Kong vs Godzilla was made by Toho and is part of a completely different story line with no relation to any of the other kong movies, the one where he finds a mate is King Kong Lives it is a sequal to the 1970's remake in that one they revive him and give him a mechanical heart. The only other Kong movies are the 2005 remake, King Kong Escapes another Toho movie, and Son of Kong which is a sequal to the original 1933 movie in which after sued for the damages caused by Kong Carl Denham flees back to Skull Island and meets Kong's Albino son.

I'm pretty sure he meant 1970.
