A solitary beast drifted through the asteroid belt with no true destination or goal it flew sluggishly barely attempting to avoid the large chunks of ice and dust and occasionally letting the fragments strike him and knock the monster off balance for a few hundred meters. When the being exited the field he rested his vision on a small blue planet. The great beast sensed the conflict that erupted from that world like a star's death, but as he let his thoughts sift deeper he found something he had not been able to sense in his years of enslavement and wandering in the war torn universe. The kaiju let that feeling of hope wash over him and allowed his speed to increase and shifted his path on a direct course with the planet. Tigan buried his grieving memories into the depths of his mind and closed in on Earth. It would become a new home where he could be free and he would protect it from anything that would harm it.
