Description: As an attempted clone of Zilla, Neo-Zilla was very similar looking to the original creature, however, after the “upgrading” the creature has been given by the scientist at Schmidt Industries, it’s looks are now radically different. Firstly, the creature’s scales have been treated with a series of chemicals, causing them to be tougher and giving off a metallic sheen. It’s entire left arm, both legs, and tail have been replaced with mechanical versions, looking somewhat bulkier than the original limbs, and two large thrusters ((look somewhat like the ones on a 747)) protrude from it’s back on either side of it’s spines.
Combat Style: Neo-Zilla is violently insane, as is reflected by it’s combat style. While in combat, it attacks with a terrifying ferocity, paying no heed to injuries, bystanders, or anything else. In close combat it shreds it’s opponents with it’s large claws and teeth, while relying on it’s breath weapon for ranged combat
Qualities: Improved Scale Armor- already formidably strong, The chemical treatment given to Neo-zilla’s scales have only improved the protective qualities possessed by the original Zilla, allowing them to resist physical damage, most energy attacks and climate changes, at the cost of weighing Neo-Zilla down a bit
Mechanical legs: One of the drawbacks to the upgrade process applied to Neo-Zilla that became readily apparent in the testing phase is that it’s artificial limbs and pieces encumbed him to the point where he retained only about half of the original’s speed. In an attempt to counteract this, the leaders of Project Doppleganger Replaced Neo-Zilla’s legs with their current mechanical versions. While these legs are more powerful than the original ones, they do not totally offset his increased weight. Despite this, Neo-Zilla is much faster than the average Kaiju, allowing him to nimbly dodge attacks that many kaiju would not be able to.
Flight-While Neo-Zilla is not capable of burrowing like the original due to it’s somewhat bulkier mechanical parts, it makes up for this with two large thrusters on it’s back, allowing to fly to speeds of up to Mach 5.
Crystal Skeleton-Like Zilla before him, Neo-Zilla’s bones are a set of hollow crystalline structures supported by crisscrossing struts. Combined with his powerful Mechanical legs, Neo-Zilla is still capable of making incredible leaps and jumps.
Susceptible to Toxins: Despite the best efforts of the Project Doppleganger team, Neo-Zilla still retains the same weakness to toxins that Zilla has.
Special Attacks: Atomic Flame- Essentially the same as Zilla’s, the only difference is that the flames are tinged with red instead of green.
Atomic Sphere- More powerful than his regular breath weapon, this sphere of atomic flame glows white hot and is known to leave lingering levels of radiation
Atomic Cannon ((special RP/ finisher move))- One of the primary reasons for Zilla being chosen as the first subject of Project Doppleganger was the potential seen in it’s breath weapon. After the installation of a set of power amplifiers and other such equipment, Neo-Zilla possesses the ability to fire a blast of pure atomic energy, focusing the strength of a 500 kiloton explosion into an intense beam of destruction capable of hitting targets in orbit around the planet.. However, the use of this devastating attack requires not only time to charge itself, but also requires Neo-Zilla to align his tail and spine with his target, making him take a tell-tale “T” Position ((mouth, tail, and spine all perfectly aligned, with his feet spread wide on either side))
Origin/History: With the creation of the Schmidt Industries Kaiju Response team also came the creation of Project Doppleganger, a project whose sole mandate is to create Kaiju to serve as the guardians of mankind, no matter the consequence. While most of the work done by this secret project was mainly theoretical, opportunity arose when the creature Zilla attacked New York. Dispatching the mecha Abbadon-01 and it’s unwitting pilot to combat the creature, it was hoped that the creature would be eliminated, thus allowing the scientist of project doppleganger to experiment with the DNA of a real kaiju. Unfortunately, The creature got away, but not before leaving a sizable amount of DNA and biological matter behind. Using the DNA, the scientist created their own version of Zilla. Unfortunately, without the corpse of the creature on hand, several guesses and mistakes were made when copying Zilla’s genetic pattern, and the end result was that the creature was born with several defects, including severe psychosis and stunted limbs. Nevertheless, the researchers persevered, and were able to mechanicly upgrade Neo-Zilla, turning it into a frighteningly effective weapon. However, most important of the upgrades was a set of circuitry installed in the creatures brain, making it completely unable to disobey orders given by those with the proper authorization.
