Origin/History: Once the aliens from Space Hunter M’s most useful combination of cybernetics with the organic life forms known for the most part as Gigans. Tigan was a difficult acquisition for the Nebulans due to his natural brute strength and amazing intelligence, but eventually they convinced him to accept the cybernetic upgrades and serve them when they threatened to destroy his mate and hatchling. Tigan for the next 15 earth years was forced to destroy planets and entire civilizations lest the Nebulans destroy his family. As the character of his actions urged Tigan to revolt against his masters and destroy as many of them as he could he was continually reminded of the consequences such a thing would cause. The Nebulans periodically showed Tigan viewscreens of his family held prisoner in the deepest part of Nebulan territory, Tigan knew that if he revolted they would be destroyed as a lesson to others. One eventful day Tigan was forced to hunt down a Giganoid who had been able to escape midway through his transformation into a cyborg and this day changed everything. Tigan tracked the mind of the Giganoid to a decimated planet to which he had never seen. To his shock upon arriving on the surface he found it a graveyard for Giganoids or other kaiju who had been destroyed beyond repair or whose body had rejected the cybernetic implants. The horror of this sight almost caused Tigan to go insane, but he continued on his mission despite the pain. When Tigan found the rogue he first tried to incapacitate it with his mind when doing so he found the presence familiar and stared upon the young Gigan curiously. Only Once the Giganoid spoke did Tigan realize how he knew this being. “Father.” That was all it took for Tigan to realize he had been tricked for the past 15 years. His son stood there before him plain as day scarred from years of unwilling survival training forced upon him by the Nebulans. Tigan’s son then said the thing he feared above all else “She’s dead, they killed her when they took me.” Tigan just stood there in shock as his worst nightmare had come true. Tigan told his son to hide until he came for him and he took off towards the Nebulan fleet in orbit around the planet. Tigan unleashed all of the rage of the past 15 years on the Nebulan ships and their kaiju servants. None of the their weapons seemed to halt his rampage as he massacred their ships. In a last ditch effort the Nebulans tried to escape through a experimental warp drive which opened a portal for the ships to escape through. Tigan though blinded with rage followed the last few remaining ships through the portal till he found himself near the planet earth. Tigan descended on the planet in grief and began to realize that he had lost his son again, but this time it was his fault. Tigan now keeps his grief in check by helping those of earth who are oppressed with those with power.
